GLITCH 2.0

GLITCH - visual development 2.0 from emifarmosi on Vimeo.

OKAY, SO I have already mentioned and posted (mostly on my instagram) some vips about this project, called “GLITCH” (working title i guess) that…. started out as a quickly constructed log line for a pitch-practice in September, and what is now, somehow, got out of hands and developed into a very rough concept for a series.

To be honest, i wouldn’t have made a teaser at this stage, but the diploma presentation seemed like a good chance to test out how would something like this work. I threw it together from zero to this in 3 weeks, working 12-15 hours every day, but it was worth it, because i learned a LOT. Its not exactly finished tho, its full of place holders and a bunch of things are missing, but i guess you cant really tell if you don’t know my original concept.

The animations at the end were done in the LAST three days - at that point i couldn’t even find my own bed at the other side of the room so maybe you shouldn’t watch that part (yeah, pls don’t). But even if its not as good as i want it to be, it was really fun watching my characters in a movie theatre on the big screen :)

Since its only the second round of the visuals, a LOT of things has changed/are still changing, even character names and designs because half of this stuff was just pure (and very stressed) brainstorming. But i guess its already something i can work with. (actually, the story is a lot more developed at this point and going well, so this is the phase where have to force myself to work on the visuals… )

I’ll post these beta character sheets and concepts separately later. Now its time to start to work on the good version.

Eucroma IV

Here's the rest, cleaned up storyboard key moments for the storyworld book and illustrations for the presentation.

Storyboarding was a very great experience because i had a great director to work with, i learned a lot and i also got a lot of positive feedbacks. This is not the full storyboard tho, these are the cleaned up key moments for the storyworld book. The detailed one is very messy because - as usual - we didnt have the time to cleane it up:

Illustrations for the presentation about the target audience and the conflict with the penguins:

Eucroma has been a lot of fun and a great experience, i made a lot of great friends and met some talented people i hope to work with in the near future! This semester itself worth a lot more than my previous 2 years on my uni, im so happy i had the chanse to be a part of it!

Eucroma III - Game Design

I will never not be amazed how increadibly incabale this goddam website is to handle more than one picture.
Anyways. Here are the designs i made for our game - we didnt have much time so its a bit inconsistent here and there because when we finally figured out what we want we didnt have time to fix everything.

Eucroma IV

Cleaned storydrawing concepts for our porject book. They're a bit more.... illsutrative than they should be, but its because they'll be painted like they were rendered, so the outlines will be gone evetually.

blogspot is the biggest bitch when it comes to posting pictures, im actually amazed by how incabale it is to handle more than 2 pictures.

Eucroma I

the first sneak-peak of the thing im working on! as some of you already know, im in Denmark, participating as a concept artist/characecter designer in the EUCROMA project. We're developing a cartoon (and a game, but im not really involved in that) in 5 months. intense but really cool.
MeltDown is a satirical comedy about Gus, an alcoholic polar bear who suffers from depression because his home is melting. but when all the penguins move up to the north pole because the south pole’s melted he decides its time to take actions and teams up with a mentally instable treehugger girl to save the world. unfortunately he sucks at it because…. well… he’s a polar bear.
Gus was kind of a challange, a great one tho, but designing the retarded penguins was fun!
More on this later!
